The fixed blade falconry knife from PUMA can be used for all work during the hunt. It is extremely handy, the black micarta handle scales are attached with brass rivets. The front and top jaws are also made of brass. We deliver the falknersheil II including a high quality leather sheath.

The falknersheil was developed with the help of several experienced falconers and especially by Horst Niesters in the early 1970s. The blade is designed to chop up food for the birds and to bag the game caught by the falcon. There is a small "blunt" notch in the middle of the cutting edge. It should signal to the falconer that the cutting edge is sharpened from the tip of the blade to this notch. The rest of the blade is blunt to protect the birds of prey.

"With this knife, the PUMA-Werk has developed a falconer's knife from practical experience for practical use. As a professional falconer, I tried it out on the hunt for a wide variety of game species and during daily work in the bird of prey station. With precise requirements and appropriate suggestions for changes I contribute significantly to the design.

The PUMA-FALKNERSHEIL meets all requirements of the practical hunt and falconry business. I wish all falconers joy and good health while running the PUMA FALKNERSHEIL. "

Knife Maker to the World ~ Legendary German Steel Blade Performance

The best from tradition with high technology

Founded in 1769, the first rule of PUMA was and still is today, first class quality which is reflected in their hunting, sporting and outdoor knives. In a city whose name is not unreasonably registered trade mark for quality knives and scissors: Solingen.

It has always been part of the PUMA philosophy to manufacture products worthy of the magic name and the high demand of this city. For now, 250 years PUMA impresses with extra ordinary quality and workmanship.

We achieve this through a combination of traditional craftsmanship and the use of high-tech machinery and know how.

We utilize high tech in a way that increases the quality of our products and satisfies our customers, but we also show customers the traditional method of Solingen knife production in the third century.

Handwork is one aspect of production overseen by our technical staff, but more and more we are using the CNC machinery for parts of our products and this high precision helps us to be more efficient and competitive on price.

However, you will find a lot of products manufactured the old traditional way, especially hunting and commemorative knives.

PUMA places the importance of perfect workmanship, combined with the experience and ideas of our technical staff even higher than that of high-tech machinery. This is why after full production each knife is checked and its quality controlled by our staff personally.

PUMA is one of the leading companies in production of hunting, sporting, outdoor and fishing knives.

The PUMA brand name is recognized world-wide for high quality and knife "know how".
