The PUMA "automesser" was created on the basis of the original PUMA "white hunter" back in the 1960's and has the same outstanding features. The blade shape is precisely thought out and effortlessly meets all conceivable requirements. The sturdy tip is robust enough to open cans or pry open crown caps. A hatchet edge is ground into the center of the back of the blade for rough work such as splitting firewood or chopping bones. In addition, the blade has a practical saw tooth in the back of the cutting edge to cut green branches, fish skin or similar material with a firm surface. The "automesser" is equipped with plum wood scales, which are firmly riveted to the tang that goes fully through the handle. With all these attributes, this classic success model is an innovative knife that has lost absolutely nothing of its relevance.
