Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg – Hunting tradition meets modern practice
Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg, born on September 16, 1982, in Munich, comes from the long-established noble family of Oettingen-Spielberg. From a young age, he was introduced to hunting by his father, a passionate hunter and successful Olympic Trap shooter. He quickly developed a high level of marksmanship and hunting precision. His great passion is driven hunts, especially for wild boar. With his exceptional shooting technique, his instinct for game, and his strong hunting ethics, he has made a name for himself throughout Europe. Today, he is considered one of the best-known and most accomplished hunters in Europe, combining tradition with modern hunting methods.
His great passion lies with the five main ungulate species: red deer, fallow deer, mouflon, wild boar, and roe deer. FAOS explains his choice of the PUMA hunting knife as follows: Roe deer are our smallest ungulate species, yet also probably the most common and influential in our local hunting grounds. Their fine body structure, tender meat, and importance to the hunt demand a tool that is both precise and steeped in tradition. This is precisely where the PUMA hunting knife comes in – a knife that has been considered an indispensable companion to hunters for generations. With its slim, classic blade, it is perfectly suited for the delicate work involved in processing roe deer – from clean gutting to field dressing. The combination of elegant staghorn handle scales, a fiber liner, and nickel silver bolsters not only provides a secure grip but also an unmistakable, high-quality feel. This knife is not merely a tool, but a piece of living Solingen craftsmanship that has accompanied roe deer hunters for decades.
The precise cutting edge, balanced design, and ergonomic shape ensure a secure grip every time. This makes the hunting knife a reliable partner for all those tasks frequently required when dealing with this type of game – be it quickly dressing an animal in the field or meticulously processing it in the game larder.
This exceptional Franz-Abrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg (FAOS) edition includes the PUMA hunting knife with a cognac-colored leather sheath.
